Comments on: Installing Yahoo Messenger in Ubuntu

i followed your instruction and when i enter it on the terminal the
sudo apt-get update it was install, the when i run

sudo apt-get install libgdk-pixbuf2

i got this error

E: Couldn’t find package libgdk-pixbuf2
how do i fix this

hi i tried using the Evolution mail which i think is the same as outlook in windows but it won’t send or recieve mail, and it posts an error broken pipe how to solve this

If you have your windows setup cd, load it, restart the PC, boot off the CD and start the Recovery console. Here you can use the fixmbr command to commandeer your MBR. Fixmbr (microsoft.com)

The Linux version of yahoo messenger is far behind the standard that is available for both Windows and Mac users. I would look for a 3rd party replacement for Yahoo messenger if i were you!
