The reputation of your website is important and a negative or unknown reputation could actually be hurting your sites sales and traffic. There are many ways to establish a positive reputation for your website, but by far the most cost and results effective method is having your site reviewed. One of the most valuable tools you can use to promote your site is building or establishing your site reputation.

There are many professional companies that specialize in the verification and review of a websites products and services for a fee, but for the most part if you are on a tight budget then this won’t work for you, there are still other ways to get your site reviewed with the same results. If you are part of a service organization or association then you can ask them to review your site. Another option is joining your local chamber of commerce and placing a link on your site to the chambers website. Many chamber of commerce organizations offer icons that link to your profile at the chamber.

You may also consider contacting your local Better Business bureau. The main purpose if the “BBB” is to help legitimize businesses and their websites to potential site visitors and customers. The “BBB” also have attractive website logos and icons that you can place on your website as conformation that your website is legitimate and has a positive reputation.

If your website or company has been around for a while then you may want to search the Internet for consumer review websites that may have postings about your sites products and services.

Asking your existing or past customers to write a review of your sites products and services is also a powerful way to build customer confidence and your sites reputation. But keep in mind your want to have your sites customers and visitors relate how your sites products and services were of value to them and that they have confidence and trust in your site.

There are many other ways to help build your sites reputation and what ever method you choose you should make sure that you display links this information on your home page and on pages such as shopping carts of product and services information pages. Another great place to display this information is on your “About” or company pages. Once you have established your sites reputation it is a good idea to periodically update it so never appears outdated or incomplete.

Spammers are really stupid.. or are they?

are spoamers really stupid?.. i don't know but i don't want your crapI don’t know about you, but if I needed or wanted Viagra, or any of the hundreds of products and services that spammers force feed to my many email addresses then I certainly wouldn’t buy it from them or the websites they help violate my email, and waste my time! Besides if i really had a need for some the crap that these low life pushers of pills, bootleg and counterfit mechandise had, i would just research and find it myself , and i am sure that many people feel the same way.. but then again i can’t remeber the last time i thought to myself that i wanted to buy some bootleg viagra, and a fake rolex watch~ heh Oh but i guess there is a market for such crap and more by the look of my junk mail folder.

According to Marshal Limited 29% of spam emails result in a sale. What is the motivation behind making online purchases from spam emails? Supply and demand! Recent polls show that aproximatly 250 million internet users have made purchases freom spam emails.

So spam turns out to be a rather booming business. No wonder the number of spam emails already make up for 85 percent of all email traffic. Anstis: “There are approximately 250 million people out there who are interested in these kinds of products and have made purchases from spam in the past. That’s equivalent to double the population of Japan mixed in with every other Internet user. As a spammer - how do you reach that market without knowing specifically who these people are and with the bare minimum of expense? Easy, send lots of emails to everyone.”yummy spam!

the real question that i am sure alot of people are asking is what U.S. ISP’s are doing to really combat this problem…. in the old days an isp would just net block the ip’s of spammers, but now with the sophistacation of spamming techniques and email spoofing it seems like a never ending battle to combat the daily deluge of crap email from spammers….. hell i must have won the UK lotterty at least 30 times in the last 3 months! LOL…………..

5 Tips To Improve Your Business’s Website

Get your website to the top with our SEO tips and tricksA company’s online presence is often as important as any brick-and-mortar storefront. But many small businesses still stumble when it comes to designing their company Web sites, and their image can suffer in the process.

Here are some tips to help small businesses improve their Web presence while avoiding some of the most common mistakes:

1. Keep it lively. In addition to keeping the language of your Web site concise, consider writing with a sense of personality. A conversational tone can make visitors feel more comfortable and willing to take interest in whatever it is you’re selling or promoting. The best approach is to match your sites content with a similar personality. If your site is a joke site, then you want a light and funny personality.

2. Avoid atypical fonts. Although it’s vital to catch the viewer’s attention right away, don’t rely on strange or trendy fonts to do so. Stick with a standard set of fonts and let the professionalism and content of your Web site do all the attention getting.

3. Stay current. To prevent your Web site from seeming out of touch with modern online technology, consider featuring streaming video, but above remember that content is king and adding new and useful content to your site on a regular basis will keep your site new and fresh to your repeat visitors.

Companies like WhiteBlox (www.whiteblox.com) build and design streaming video players that can be smoothly incorporated into any Web page. The players also feature back-end analytics, so you can track your visitors’ viewing habits with the player itself or monitor their participation in polls and surveys that come coupled with the technology.

4. Use ads sparingly. Ads can be a great source of extra revenue, but having too many can be distracting and make the site appear cluttered. Using ads that could offer niche or related services can be seen as providing useful resources to your customers.

Consider setting a personal limit as to how many advertisements you’ll feature at one time. If you’re using WhiteBlox or another streaming video player, feature paid ads at the beginning of the videos or broadcasts.

5. Use your own photos. In an “About Us” section, include real pictures of the people who work for your business. Stock photography can give your Web site a canned appearance, whereas photographs of your personnel can add a genuine touch that will resonate with visitors.
